Most domesticated animals do not have "grandmothers", but elephants do
We consider grandmothers to be caring, intelligent, experienced and ignorant people. It is almost the same for elephants.

The oldest "grandmother" elephant is the leader of the herd, and the herds with "grandmother" have many calves /higher chance of survival/, the "grandmother" elephant trains them, watches them, shows them where to find water and food, and coordinates with other herds. and performs the role of a real "grandmother". This has been established over 40 years by Professor Phyllis Lee, who conducted research on 800 elephants.
