The world-wide recommended salt intake for human health is 5g per day. In many countries of Europe, people without cardiovascular disease were studied and found that the average daily salt intake was less than 5g.

Proper use of salt in food is necessary. Do not use too much salt. Especially, elderly people do not lack salt, so it is better for elderly people to consume low-salt foods.
Recently, doctors and researchers have confirmed that people who consume a lot of salt can become brittle and damage the heart muscle. The people of Japan's northern sea islands had a habit of eating salted fish in ancient times. Also, more than 30 grams of table salt were used per day. As a result, they were nicknamed the "Kingdom of Tumors" and the "Kingdom of Strokes". Then, after the introduction of refrigerators, the people of the country stopped storing their fish with salt and stopped using a lot of salt, and the incidence of cancer and stroke decreased significantly.
Based on all of this, salt is one of the main causes and complications of diseases such as cardiovascular disease and stroke, so salt should be consumed in small amounts. But do not use salt at all. According to the nutritional research, it was determined that one person should not have less than one gram of salt per day.
