Accepting and giving gifts correctly is considered a secret of the mind. A person takes only what he needs, does not live only for his own needs, helps others, and being generous means following the law of worldly offerings.

By following this law, a person achieves material abundance and has positive and good character and morals. Offerings are divided into materials, knowledge, intellect, body, mind, emotions, and energy, and the most important of these is the offering of kindness or wishing others happiness and well-being. Giving gifts indiscriminately is also considered wrong. If an offering is spent on the wrong thing, it is bad for both the giver and the receiver. If you give an offering to a drunkard, if that person drinks alcohol with it, that person will get drunk, and you will be blamed. The offering of knowledge, or the offering of sharing one's knowledge and spirit with others, is called the supreme offering. Since it is very important to establish that this knowledge is the truth, it cannot be taken carelessly, and confusion can lead to suffering, so it is called the supreme offering of imparting knowledge and intelligence to others with the content of giving happiness and inheriting the right. It is believed that spreading the right knowledge to people reduces sins. Right knowledge or teaching is non-possessive and non-selfish, and the concept of almsgiving is non-reciprocal and non-objective. It is right to buy things on time only considering their use, but things that are bought only because they like them are the seeds of greed. Also, when you try to help, what happens when you give alms is called a "dark" almsgiving. Carrying the thought that you will turn your children back for the sake of raising them is also included in the "dark" offering. It is said that offering material and money is the most difficult for people. An offering to feed the hungry and poor becomes a virtue. In general, an offering is a good way to dedicate things and material assistance to others with a kind heart. Also, it should be distinguished that almsgiving is not an offering but a donation for the prosperity of something. It is necessary to understand that offering is a law intended for people to make each other happy, as a result of which they receive and multiply. The simplest charitable offering involves wishing well to others and then feeding people. In Vedic teachings, feeding people is considered equivalent to offering gold.
