An old man spread rumors about his next-door neighbor as a thief. As a result, the neighbor was arrested for theft. After a few days, the young man was found to be innocent and released. The young neighbor took the old man to court to restore his dignity. In court, the old man said, "I just said something. I am innocent, what sin have I committed?" He did not confess his guilt and was trying to slander. The judge told him, "Before we make a decision, write down what you said about this guy on a piece of paper, cut it up, and blow it out the window of your car on the way home." The trial will continue tomorrow. The next day, when the meeting started, the judge said to the old man, "Now, I want you to collect the papers you threw out of the car window and bring them back." You, please." The old man said, "How does this happen? "It has been blown away by the wind, where can I find it?" he shouted. But, the judge said to him, - "Then, just as the words spoken by a person are spoken through the mouth, they are scattered like paper and cannot be found again, so you should know that a spread rumor can destroy a person's life irreparably. If you can't say good things about people, it's better to keep quiet. Be the master of what you say. Also, a gossiper and slanderer is worse than a thief, because he steals honor, glory, and trust that are very hard to recover. When a person stumbles, he can find his balance. "However, the word that is spread out of the mouth can never be taken back, so the decision is made that you are guilty," he replied, defeating the old man with his words.
